While studying for 9 months at Tech de Monterry in Mexico, Juanita’s muse (and founder) Mark met and fell passionately in love with authentic Mexican food. A true modern day romance, that began with Mark stumbling into his very first taco bar. Mark soon found that every moment of his spare time was spent indulging in good beer and even better food. 2 years spent in Latin America only deepened the affair, with Mark immersing himself further in the culture; taking the time to now not only eat, but to learn to cook, authentic food.
On returning to Melbourne, Mark ate his way through the suburbs searching for a food experience like he’d had in Mexico; but there was just always something missing. Marc is incredibly passionate about serving up “keep it real” authentic tacos. He founded Juana Taco with desire to bring true Mexican street food to the inner city suburbs of Melbourne, and wanted to be certain that not only would the food be 100% authentic and 100% fresh but also 100% affordable for the people of St Kilda. Juana Tacos is all about tacos for all! Marc has now assembled a mariachi band of taco groupies who too have fallen in love with the Juana Taco vision, and the sensational tacos and salsas.
